Primordial goddess of sexual attraction, the master and revered as the goddess of fertility.
It is said he was the son of Nicte and Errbo but it could also be the son of Aphrodite and Ares; although according to Plato's banquet it was conceived by Penia and Poros. Its Roman equivalent is Cupid.
